Hey RISD! What up?

A lot of people have seen the Seriously?! logo around campus and are wondering what it’s all about.

Well, I’ll tell you.

My name is Selma-Rachel Swire and I am a Senior graduating from GD. This past semester in BGD studio with Nancy Skolos, my classmates and I worked with a company called Green Patriot Posters, an organization focused on raising awareness to prevent human actions from worsening global warming.

In the Winter of 2008, the members of Respond/Design Inquiry Graduate Seminar wrote RISD’s first Proposal for Sustainable Practice. This proposal outlines many ways that RISD can save money and be more sustainable.

That’s where Seriously?! comes in. A brand created by Sarah Sandman and Melissa Small (MFA Graphic Design 2009), Seriously?! is available to the entire RISD community as a brand to use and apply to your messages about RISD sustainability, and show your support for the Proposal for Sustainability.
